Are you a confident KS2 Teacher ready to take ownership of a Year 6 class in a thriving, oversubscribed primary school with a long-standing reputation for excellence?

A highly regarded 1 form entry primary school in Finchley is seeking a committed Year 6 Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is a permanent opportunity within a school that has been consistently oversubscribed, driven by strong outcomes, a clear vision, and exceptional leadership.

About the School

Situated in a leafy part of Finchley, this school offers a calm, focused learning environment where pupils are engaged and expectations are high.

The school has been led for many years by a highly respected Headteacher, whose leadership has created a culture of consistency, ambition, and care. As a result, the school has maintained strong outcomes over time while also building a reputation as a place where staff genuinely enjoy working.

Staff turnover is notably low—something the school is proud of—reflecting the positive working culture, strong support systems, and focus on staff wellbeing.

• High-quality CPD with opportunities for long-term development

• Engaged pupils and a calm, purposeful school environment

The Role

As a Year 6 Teacher, you will take full responsibility for guiding pupils through their final year of primary education, preparing them for both SATs and the transition to secondary school.

You will:

• Deliver engaging and purposeful lessons across the curriculum

• Use assessment effectively to drive progress and close gaps

• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement

• Contribute to a consistent and collaborative KS2 team
