Supply Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools – North West London

Location: Brent, Westminster, Barnet and surrounding North West London areas

Pay: Competitive daily rates

Pay Options: PAYE or Umbrella

Contract: Ad hoc, daily supply, short-term and flexible cover

Enrich Education Recruitment is looking to register reliable and experienced Teaching Assistants who are available for ad hoc supply work across a strong and growing portfolio of primary schools in North West London, including Brent, Westminster and Barnet.

This is a great opportunity for support staff who want flexible work, local school placements and the chance to gain experience across a range of primary school settings.

The Role

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils and class teachers across the school day, helping to create a calm, positive and purposeful learning environment.

Daily responsibilities may include:

Supporting pupils in class across EYFS, KS1 or KS2

Working with individuals, small groups or whole-class activities

Supporting pupils with SEND, EAL or additional learning needs

Helping the class teacher deliver lessons and maintain routines

Supporting phonics, reading, writing, maths or intervention groups

Assisting with behaviour, transitions and pupil engagement

Supporting personal care where required, depending on the role

Helping pupils stay focused, regulated and ready to learn

Following safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times

Some roles may be general classroom support, while others may involve 1:1 SEN support, behaviour support or intervention work.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for Teaching Assistants who are professional, reliable and confident working in primary schools.

You should have:

Experience working with children in a school, nursery or education setting

A calm, patient and positive approach

Good communication skills

Confidence supporting pupils with different needs and abilities

A strong understanding of safeguarding

The ability to follow instructions and work well with class teachers

Flexibility to work across different year groups and school settings

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to complete a new DBS

A Level 2 or Level 3 childcare, teaching assistant or education-related qualification is desirable, but strong school-based experience will also be considered.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:

Primary schools

EYFS, KS1 or KS2 support

SEN support

ASD, ADHD, SEMH or speech and language needs

Phonics or intervention work

School-based pastoral, lunchtime or classroom support
