THE PRIMARY SUPPLY TEACHER ROLE


As a Primary Supply Teacher in Haringey, you will take responsibility for the class and ensure pupils experience a calm, structured and productive school day.


Your responsibilities may include:


• Delivering pre-planned lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2

• Following the class teacher’s planning and maintaining continuity of learning

• Managing classroom behaviour in accordance with school policies

• Creating a positive, inclusive and purposeful learning environment

• Adapting support for pupils with SEND, EAL and different learning needs

• Marking completed work where required

• Leaving clear and useful handover notes for the class teacher

• Working effectively with teaching assistants, phase leaders and senior staff

• Following safeguarding procedures and maintaining professional standards


PRIMARY TEACHER REQUIREMENTS


We welcome applications from experienced teachers, Early Career Teachers and returning teachers who are confident working across different primary school settings.


Applicants should have:


• Qualified Teacher Status – QTS

• Recent experience teaching in UK primary schools

• Knowledge of the EYFS, KS1 or KS2 curriculum

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• The ability to establish positive routines quickly

• Confidence building relationships with pupils and school staff

• A flexible, reliable and professional approach

• A strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities

• An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
