SEN Teacher
Barnet, London
MPS + SEN Allowance
Start date: September 2026
Are you an experienced SEN Teacher with QTS looking to take on a well-supported EYFS/KS1 class within a high-performing specialist setting?
A leading SEN school in Barnet is seeking a committed and skilled SEN Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is a permanent opportunity within a school widely recognised for its exceptional approach to early intervention, communication, and pupil progress.
About the School
This specialist SEN school has built a strong reputation across Barnet for delivering consistently high-quality outcomes for pupils with ASD, communication needs, and developmental delays.
Their approach is rooted in structure, consistency, and deep understanding of individual need, with a strong emphasis on early years development. The school adopts a holistic, whole-school trauma-informed approach, prioritising emotional safety, regulation, and trusting relationships over traditional punitive discipline.
A key part of this is the use of the PACE model (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy), embedded across the school to support behaviour, communication, and emotional development.
Leadership is widely regarded as industry-leading within SEN, combining clarity, high expectations, and genuine staff support. Systems are embedded, expectations are clear, and staff are given the tools and training needed to succeed.
What You’ll Benefit From
• Small class sizes with exceptional staff-to-pupil ratios
• A highly structured, trauma-informed approach to SEN
• Industry-leading leadership team with deep SEN expertise
• Specialist resources and purpose-built learning environments
• High-quality CPD including PACE and communication-focused strategies
• A calm, purposeful school culture where staff are genuinely supported
