Enrich Education Recruitment is working with a well-established, high-quality nursery in East Barnet to appoint an experienced and passionate Room Leader for their Toddler Room.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Early Years professional who is ready to lead, inspire and make a genuine impact within a warm, supportive and values-led nursery environment.

The setting is an 86-place nursery with four bright, age-specific rooms and a fantastic outdoor learning environment, including racing tracks, climbing equipment, play trays and a vegetable garden for children to explore.

The Role

As Room Leader, you will lead, mentor and support your team to deliver exceptional care and education for children within the Toddler Room.

You will be responsible for creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment where children feel secure, confident and excited to learn. You will also work closely with parents, carers, colleagues and outside professionals to ensure every child’s individual needs are understood and supported.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support the Toddler Room team day to day

Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS

Create engaging, inclusive and age-appropriate learning experiences

Promote strong routines, positive behaviour and child development

Maintain high standards of safeguarding, welfare, health and safety

Build positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues

Support children to meet their individual milestones

Help maintain a calm, nurturing and purposeful nursery environment

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above

Previous experience in an Early Years setting

Experience as a Room Leader, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nursery Nurse or similar

A strong understanding of the EYFS

Good knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and wider Early Years legislation

A caring, professional and positive approach

Strong communication skills with children, staff and parents

The ability to lead, motivate and support a team

A genuine passion for helping young children thrive
