Enrich Education Recruitment is working with a high-quality, well-established nursery in East Barnet to appoint a passionate and committed Early Years Practitioner for their Toddler Room.

This is an excellent opportunity for a caring Early Years professional who wants to work in a supportive, values-led nursery environment where children are encouraged to feel safe, confident and excited to learn.

The nursery is an 86-place setting with four bright and airy age-specific rooms. Children also benefit from a large outdoor learning environment, including racing tracks, climbing equipment, play trays and a vegetable garden.

The Role

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will plan, deliver and reflect on engaging learning activities tailored to your key children’s individual needs, interests and developmental milestones.

You will help create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children have the freedom to express themselves, develop confidence, engage their curiosity and build a lifelong love of learning.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS

Support children’s learning, development and individual milestones

Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating Toddler Room environment

Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues

Observe, assess and respond to children’s individual needs and interests

Promote strong routines, wellbeing and positive behaviour

Maintain high standards of safeguarding, welfare and child protection

Contribute positively to the wider nursery team

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

A full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification or above

Previous experience working in an Early Years setting

A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage

Good knowledge of safeguarding and child protection

A passion for creating fun, inclusive and engaging learning environments

Strong communication skills with children, colleagues and parents/carers

A warm, professional and reliable approach

A genuine desire to make a positive difference to young children’s lives
