The Role

The school is looking for a confident and experienced Early Years HLTA who can support high-quality provision across the Early Years phase.

You will work closely with the Early Years team, class teachers and phase leaders to support children’s learning, development and routines within a well-structured and nurturing environment.

This role would suit someone who is confident leading learning, supporting small groups, covering lessons when required, and contributing positively to the wider Early Years team.

You will play a key role in:

Supporting high-quality Early Years provision

Leading small group activities and focused interventions

Supporting early communication, language, phonics and early reading

Helping children develop independence, confidence and positive learning behaviours

Supporting routines, transitions and classroom organisation

Working closely with teachers to support planning, observations and assessment

Creating a warm, inclusive and engaging learning environment

Providing cover and leading learning when required

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

A minimum Level 3 childcare or Early Years qualification

Level 4 qualification preferred

Experience working within an Early Years setting

Confidence supporting learning across Nursery or Reception

Strong understanding of child development and early learning

Experience supporting phonics, early reading and communication development

Confidence leading small groups and supporting whole-class learning

A calm, caring and proactive approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Commitment to inclusive practice
